Tejano exposed up Chris Sandoval was born in Laredo, Texas on December 17, 1924; end-to-end childishness he on a regular basis south Korean won amateur vocalizing contests, and as a adolescent earned a unconstipated 15-minute spot to do on local radio receiver station KPAB. In the days to come Sandoval became a hugely popular interpretive program of Tejano and Mexican songs, with a vast repertoire ranging from rancheras to boleros; he besides recorded with conjuntos including Paulino Bernal, Wally Armendaris, Rodolfo y Lalo as well as orchestras like Mike Ornelas, Felipe Perez, Beto Villa and Juan Colorado. Sandoval finally coupled Colorado's orchestra full-time, and piece fronting the group recorded "Porque Eres Tan Mala," one of his biggest hits. After Colorado's death he continued leading the orchestra, and by and by formed a conjunto with Marroquin and drummer Celedonio Casso.


At the peak of his career Sandoval formed his own ten-piece orchestra, touring the Chicano/Tejano circuit passim the southwest and even into the Great Lakes area. In 1961 he make out the first of two LPs with his orchestra, and in tot toured with the grouping for close to deuce decades. Ultimately, Sandoval retired from acting to relocate to San Antonio, although he continued appearance with local orchestras on an irregular basis; in 1983 he was inducted into the Tejano Music Hall of Fame, cementing his condition as one of the music's truly advanced figures.
