Sandoval finally coupled Colorado's orchestra full-time, and piece fronting the group recorded "Porque Eres Tan Mala," one of his biggest hits. After Colorado's death he continued leading the orchestra, and by and by formed a conjunto with Marroquin and drummer Celedonio Casso. At the peak of his career Sandoval formed his own ten-piece orchestra, touring the Chicano/Tejano circuit passim the southwest and even into the Great Lakes area. In 1961 he make out the first of two LPs with his orchestra, and in tot toured with the grouping for close to deuce decades.
